Many claim that Bollywood is a big
industry and has space for every talent. But it is more of a myth than a
reality it seems. To keep their brand value going, stars go to any
lengths to acquire good endorsement deals even if that means snatching a
deal from under someone’s nose. Apparently, a similar thing happened
when Anushka Sharma reduced her remuneration for a two-wheeler ad to snatch it from Katrina Kaif who too was keen to pocket the brand.

According to a source, who was in the knowhow of the deal, the brand in
question was very keen to have Katrina Kaif as the face of the company.
But when they were informed that the actress charges Rs. 6 Crore for an
ad, they started looking for other options. One of them was Anushka.
However, when they learned that Anushka too was quoting somewhere near
Rs. 4 Crore, they thought of paying a bit extra and rope in Kat only as
that will ensure more reach and face value.
Though, buzz is that when Anushka heard about the same, she readily cut
down her price to Rs. 3 Crore and even assured the brand that she will
give them more days to shoot than Katrina. This pleased the company and
they signed Anushka for the deal. Right now, it seems they are chalking
out a campaign keeping in mind the actress’s flamboyant nature.
